TeknoGod and Darkblizz have successfully cracked Starcraft 2 beta with a working AI against computers. Teknogods team, LazyTown has plans to emulate a Battle.net server in the near future, but for now, it’s just comp stomp.
…What the hell are you talking about? Blizzard released a closed Beta. Some got in, some didn’t. Yes, it’s sad for those who didn’t get a key(me being one of them) but what does that have to do with this so called sticking it to the man .
As for the LAN, Blizzard would be idiots if they thought taking away LAN would stop the game from being pirated and played online. It will only be a matter of time before someone finds out how to host games on SCII without the need of Battle.Net. The reason they removed LAN was to stop the general populace of idiots from creating their own servers to play on without paying a cent (unless you count internet fees, which is arguable with these cheaters). Blizzard is just forcing the more determined hackers to find another way to make their own, ‘thinning out the herd’ so to speak and making those servers easier targets (since there will be less)….
